Location:  Work is what you do, not where you go. For this role, we are open to remote work and can hire anywhere in the United States or Canada.

About The Opportunity

The Senior Manager, Learning & Leadership Development role is responsible for managing, facilitating, and executing on the full scope of professional development initiatives as part of Ceridian’s Learning & Leadership Development team. This includes facilitating, executing, and evaluating professional skills curriculum courses, leadership development programs, and career activations for Ceridian’s global workforce.

What You’ll Get To Do

  • Facilitate and lead both internally and externally created professional skills curriculum courses, leadership development programs, and career development sessions for teams and cohorts across the globe for Ceridian employees.
  • In partnership with Instructional Design and Training, manage the development and maintenance of modern and comprehensive online learning modules, in person programming, and virtual instructor led courses including related materials, technology, and engagement techniques
  • Lead and manage others, including direct reports, with excellence and foster high-performing teams through constructive coaching and feedback.
  • Consult with internal client groups and key stakeholders to conduct team and functional learning needs analysis, establish strategies to develop teams professionally and help accomplish business objectives, and facilitate related intact team trainings or programs.
  • Manage strategy and execution of data and people analytics related to professional development initiatives, including identifying workforce trends, synthesizing and presenting participant surveys and attendance results; evaluate effectiveness of programs and identify opportunities to drive change across the organization.
  • Monitor training activities and logistics; oversee the coordination of participant and related support materials for professional development courses such as communications, training and course manuals and resources, handouts and visual materials including language translations.
  • Embed inclusion and diversity practices into people leader capabilities.
  • Partner on talent planning, engagement, and performance management initiatives; use related workforce data to drive content development for new or existing professional development courses, curriculum, and programming.
  • Determine the best method(s) for creating awareness about Learning and Leadership Development programs and maintaining consistent, maximum learner engagement from beginning to end of a program lifecycle; create related communications to support the delivery of professional and talent development initiatives.
  • Actively build a strong network of trusted partners to prioritize work, source and validate content, and drive continuous improvement; build Learning and Leadership Development business processes through innovation, systems, and tools to optimize and automate when possible.
  • Manage relationships internally across all global Ceridian functions, throughout Human Resources, and external partners including sourcing of vendors and facilitators and contract negotiations.
  • Organize group meetings and manage development and implementation of new projects and plans.

Skills And Experience We Value

  • Minimum of 10+ years of experience in corporate learning and leadership development or related professional/talent development function
  • Bachelor’s degree in fields such as Education, Human Resources Management, Organizational or Industrial Psychology, or in any other relevant field preferred.
  • Formal certifications in multiple adult learning or training tools and assessments. (DDI certification is a plus.)
  • Proven experience building and developing modern and innovative blended learning approaches.
  • Strong understanding and experience of applying principles of adult learning theories and practice, needs assessment, instructional design, delivery, and evaluation methods.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to cascade messages or influence across all levels; ability to craft compelling and engaging written materials in accordance with corporate branding requirements.
  • Global mindset with a proven track record of delivering against business plans, including process excellence, enabling group decision-making, problem-solving, and organizing and structuring agendas.
  • Ability to manage projects, details, and priorities in a complex, fast-paced work environment.
  • Experience identifying opportunities to create greater efficiencies and improve or expand professional development curriculum.
  • Exceptional facilitation skills, both live and virtual, for career skills or leadership courses, business acumen courses, and organization-wide trainings.
  • Proven ability to establish positive working relationships in multiple regions and throughout the globe; ability to collaborate and consult with cross-functional teams and colleagues of all levels across an organization including with external partners.
  • Experience with logistics management of events, courses, trainings, projects and external partners.
  • Proficient in HRIS systems and Microsoft products such as Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
