What will you be doing?Â

The Senior Director, Data and Analytics oversees a team responsible for 360 enterprise data and analytic solutions. This role sets the technical strategy for enterprise reporting and business intelligence both for client [market facing] solutions and internal [Management Information Systems] insights. Assemble an enterprise team that will be able to [cost effectively] design, build, monitor and maintain the 360 BI platform. Setting direction for technology stack, and design principals. It includes working with team to access and select appropriate technology stack(s), enterprise design of the data lake(s), warehouse(s), reporting and BI systems. Ensuring that all systems meet essential functional and non-functional requirements.

Stand out and stay on track:Â Â

• Own and drive the technical vision for data and analytics at 360insights
• Lead the development of client-facing and internal facing data and analytic solutions in a fast-growing SaaS company, determining how best to optimize solutions for both streams
• Drive Innovation by identifying opportunities -both internal or external -to improve operational efficiencies or enhance product offerings
• Drive and improve the development practice through the creation and promotion of best practices
• Working with Product team to assist in develop methodologies for the effective capture of reporting and visualization requirements for client facing solutions
• Partner with the DevOps/Infrastructure/Compliance teams to plan, design build solutions that meet availability, compliance, scalability requirements
  

What will make you a success? You’ve got this! Â

• 5+ years managing teams / managers
• 5+ years agile delivery experience
• 2+ years leading warehousing/BI technology group of 10 or more
• 10+ years design and development experience in data warehousing , reporting and BI
• 5+ years experience working with Product Development teams
• Strong cloud warehouse data mart knowledge
• You have delivered software in a SaaS environment and understand balance between new projects, client centric projects, maintenance and technical debt
• Excellent communications and influencing skills across all levels of a large organization
• Deep understanding and experience with Agile development methodology
• Attention to detail and deep understanding of warehouse, reporting and BI best practices
• BS in Computer Science, Math or related, or equivalent experience
  

How Will You Spend Your Time

• 10% working leaders in devops, and infrastructure on best practices and prioritization
• 35% working with data engineering, reporting and BI teams – designing, implementing solutions
• 30% ongoing planning –the creation of evolution in developing the BI SaaS platform
• 25% providing leadership, management, career path support
• 5% finance/admin related work
  

Areas of experience:Â

• Experience with developing BI capabilities for external clients as well as internal stakeholders (ideally at a SaaS technology company)
• Broad understanding of the BI and Analytics landscape. Data science skills a plus.
• Experience with modern cloud data warehousing technologies (e.g. AWS Redshift, Azure Synapse, BigQuery, Snowflake, etc.)
• Experience with modern reporting and Business Intelligence technologies (e.g. Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, SiSense, Sigma, etc.)
