Hexerve Solutions is looking for a Senior Development Consultant to help support one of our Canadian Banking clients Risk Modernization Program within the Capital Markets space.
This position would be helping to redesign the existing infrastructure and improve the load capacity for the systems responsible for handling the data processing for Market Data across all asset classes.
They are building out the existing functionality of the system and creating new enhancements within the existing code base. Past Q2 of FY23, the group will be redesigning and re-engineering the system as well as working towards making the application cloud ready.
Knowledge & Experience:
  • 5+ years application development experience in Hadoop, Spark and Java/Scala.
  • 7+ years application development experience in Java and Spring Framework.
  • 10+ years of full development life cycle experience, from architecture through test and deployment and cross platform skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science.
Must Have:
  • Experience in developing and optimizing Big Data applications using Java/Scala and Spark.
  • Experience in developing/designing micro-service architecture.
  • Experience in developing applications in Spring & Spring Boot.
  • Working knowledge of Jenkins CI, Git, JIRA.
  • Excellent problem solving skills.
Nice to Have:
  • Knowledge in Market Risk/Capital Markets/Banking.
  • Knowledge of OpenShift/Docker/Kubernetes.
