CAFETERIA SUPERVISOR
___________________________________________________________________________

We are seeking to hire a Cafeteria Supervisor to operate the high school cafeteria program at Holy Rosary High School based in Lloydminster. The successful candidate is responsible for ordering, inventory, meal planning, food preparation, and service and for managing and training cafeteria staff as well as providing additional support to students in food services. The Cafeteria Supervisor must ensure that the operations are in compliance with all food safety and sanitation regulations.

This position will commence on August 28, 2023.

Responsibilities include:
  • Menu Planning: Creating a menu that meets the nutritional requirements of the students while also being affordable and appealing to their tastes.
  • Food Preparation: Supervising the preparation and cooking of all food items in the cafeteria.
  • Food Safety: Ensuring that all food items meet health and safety standards and are prepared and stored correctly.
  • Staff Management: Hiring, training, and supervising cafeteria staff, including cooks, servers, and dishwashers.
  • Inventory Management: Ordering and maintaining an appropriate inventory of food, supplies, and equipment to ensure that the cafeteria runs smoothly.
  • Budget Management: Creating and managing the cafeteria’s budget, including monitoring expenses and ensuring that the cafeteria operates within its budget.
  • Customer Service: Ensuring that students and staff are provided with excellent customer service and addressing any complaints or concerns promptly.
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Overseeing the cleaning and maintenance of the cafeteria and kitchen area, including equipment and supplies.
  • Compliance: Ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to food service, health, and safety.
  • Communication: Communicating with school administrators, teachers, parents, and students regarding menu offerings, nutritional information, and other relevant information.

Experience & Qualifications include:
  • Completion of Food Handling Services Course
  • Previous cafeteria/restaurant experience considered an asset
  • Ability to work with youth
  • RCMP Criminal Record / Vulnerable Sector check
