Graham is hiring a SH&E Advisor to join our Shell Scotford team in Fort Saskatchewan, AB

This is a temporary position for our Routine scope from January to June 2022.

Local candidates ONLY as NO living out allowance or NO Camp/travel option available on this project.

The SH&E Advisor develops and manages SH&E programs for the company, business lines, regions and/or clients. They provide leadership and support to Operations to help the organization achieve SH&E goals and objectives, as well as assist the business to meet regulatory requirements relating to specific SH&E obligations (e.g. trained SH&E professionals in business/projects, officer duties, statutory reporting, etc.).

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree and 2 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
• CRSP or NCSO
• Proficient in MS office (Word, Excel and Outlook)
• Able to mentor/coach/supervise others
• Great communication skills - written and verbal
• Previous Maintenance Services experience (e.g. Steady State, Turnaround, Shutdown, Outage, etc.)
• Construction Safety Ticket (CSTS-09 or 2020)
• OSSA Basic Safety Orientation or Enform Common Safety Orientation
• First Aid – Standard Level Certification
• OSSA or Energy Safety Canada Certified Fall Arrest and/or Fall Protection
• Other safety ticket(s) and orientation(s) required, as per the project team
• Driver’s License and a clean Driver’s Abstract

Responsibilities:

• Under direct supervision, perform basic and routine duties in a wide range of environmental, health and safety disciplines to achieve compliance with the ES&H standards along with federal and state regulatory requirements
• Assist in the development, implementation and maintenance of safety and health programs, systems and procedures
• Assist in monitoring hazards and diseases that could be present in the work area
• Work with others to investigate accidents, injuries and complaints concerning hazards in the workplace
• Participate in recommending improvement in processes, design, procedures and equipment to minimize hazards
• Participate in employee training and emergency preparedness and assure the quality of programs
