Avocetteis currently searching for Project Manager to join our team.

Avocette’s Product Unit and our Local Government project focused business is a fast growing area within Avocette. We are looking for project managers who are excited about working on small, medium and large projects that will deliver high value business solutions for our local government clients throughout North America. You will be managing dynamics projects and teams delivering platform based solutions for these customers. You will manage the overall project, but you will also enjoy understanding and managing the technical aspects of the projects. You will be comfortable with aspects of implementing software and all the project phases and activities that are included in these types of projects. You will work closely with your team of business analysts, architects and developers to deliver high value business solutions to cities and counties.

Responsibilities:

• Manage various projects through all phases
• Work with customers and partners to determine requirements.
• Manage project scheduling, forecasting, budgeting and cost reporting.
• Ensure on-time delivery including requirements, design, code and systems integration testing.
• Ensure all project communications and change management needs are addressed.
• Lead project issues, risk and conflict resolution.
• Lead team meetings and assist with chairing executive meetings, as required.
• Generate status reports consistent with protocol.
• Work effectively with executive level resources.

Skills and Experience:

• Fantastic analytical, planning, and project management skills with demonstrated expertise in all phases of projects, including pursuit process, contract negotiation, requirements definition, detailed design and planning, effective implementation practices, integration, acceptance testing, deployment and closeout with the customer.
• Excellent customer relationship and stakeholder management skills with the ability to manage customer expectations and resolve ambiguities.
• Superior interpersonal and communication skills with demonstrated leadership skills including the ability to motivate, make decisions and solve problems creatively.
• Interface with partners and in-house development teams to drive direction of product
• Ability to balance budget and schedule, scope control, risk management, and change management
• Comfortable with multi-tasking in an aggressive, leading-edge technology environment with demonstrated flexibility and ability to deal with multiple priorities, working independently and as an innovative team player
• Proficient in reporting internally on project status and progress, as well as externally with the customer
• Project Management experiences in a large corporate environment, with focus on delivering the business objectives
• Broad based information systems experience at operational, management and planning levels, conversant with information systems, technology platforms and trends, information resource knowledge of project management methodology and techniques with ability to lead a multi member project team.
• Ability to function as a team member and decision-maker in the appropriate circumstances.
• Working understanding of financial analysis and principles of project cost estimating analysis
• High-level oral and written communication skills, interpersonal skills and negotiating ability.
• Knowledgeable in various product delivery methodologies including waterfall and agile.
• Business Process Reengineering ability
• Proven experience in managing multi-vendor projects
• Experience in the public sector would be desirable
• Experience in the natural resource or social sector would be a nice to have
