NuBiyota is a biotech start-up company currently based out of the University of Guelph that manufactures microbial ecosystem therapeutic drug products. Our company is committed to drug discovery and therapeutics centered around treating human gut-related diseases.

Job description

We are looking to hire a full-time Production Associate, starting asap. Pay rate is $18/hr, Monday to Friday, 9:00 am – 5:00 pm as well as occasional weekends for ~2 hrs (either Saturday or Sunday).

Expected duties include the following:

- Anaerobic bacterial culture and downstream processing.

- Encapsulation and packaging of drug product material.

- Conducting in-process quality control experiments.

- Culture media production.

- Specialized equipment operation and maintenance.

- General lab and equipment cleaning.

- Adherence to laboratory and documentation GMP practices.

Some microbiology/molecular biology experience is a requirement. NuBiyota currently operates out of the Summerlee Science Complex at the University of Guelph.
