Job Overview

Owens Corning – Guelph Plant is looking for qualified candidates to join our Technical staff full-time in the role of Process Engineer. Successful candidates will partner with a team of operators, trades, and technical specialists to ensure the safe and productive operation of the glass fiberizing processes at the Guelph Composites plant..

Key Accountabilities
  • Engage with operators and support personnel to identify and pursue opportunities for improvement and problem-solving using Total Productive Maintenance methods.
  • Lead and participate in teamwork to troubleshoot variability or abnormalities in the process and eliminate losses through optimization and data driven decision-making.
  • Maintain equipment and test methods for data gathering to ensure our processes perform consistently and our products meet internal and external customers’ quality requirements.
  • Utilize a data-driven approach to establish metrics and prioritize resource allocation in cooperation with business leaders
  • Perform or support trial activities and experimental work in cooperation with other global sites and research and development teams.
  • Develop and maintain management system media (text and visual) for communication and training of the operations group to ensure standards are met and maintained.
  • Participate in Training and Development exercises at global sites (some travel required)
Qualifications
  • University degree in Engineering
  • 3-5 years manufacturing experience in a fast-paced environment with a focus on process and equipment improvements
  • Proven communication and interpersonal skills to lead and collaborate with a focus on implementing change effectively

  • Ability to think under pressure and make quick decisions
  • Drive team expectations such as reliability, teamwork, and overall process improvement
