Career Details

Job Title: Pipefitter Apprentices/Journeyperson

Number of Openings: Multiple

Job Type: Full-Time/Temporary

Minimum Level of Education: Certified Journeyperson or Registered Apprentice

Hours of work: 12 hours per shift (day and night shift available)

$200/day worked Retention Bonus

Duration: 21 days

Start Date: As soon as possible

Location: Fort Saskatchewan, AB

Position Summary

We are seeking multiple Pipefitter Apprentices/Journeyperson for resourcing a current active shutdown. The successful candidate will report to the site supervisor.

Responsibilities include:

· Strong mechanical aptitude with a focus on quality.

· Calculating weight of materials and/or spools to ensure proper equipment is used.

· Reading and interpreting client- and company-supplied construction fabrication drawings and specifications.

· Measuring, cutting, threading, grooving, bending, and assembling and installing piping, valves, and fittings.

· Joining pipe sections/related equipment and securing in position.

· Using testing equipment to check systems for leaks.

· Complying with ONEC’s and client safety policies and procedures.

· Must be receptive to working with short notice for call outs, nights, and overtime upon client request.

Our Ideal Candidate

· Certified Journeyperson or Registered Apprentice.

· 3-5 years of applicable experience.

· Must have a valid Driver’s License.

· CSTS 2020 & WHMIS required.

· Must be capable of physical labour.

· Good written and oral communication skills.

· Attention to detail and the ability to meet quality standards.

· Organizational and time management skills.
