Miles HR has an opportunity for a Payroll Clerk to join a local non profit organization here in New Westminster! This position starts on an initial 3 month contract starting as soon as possible with a high likelihood of becoming permanent.

This role is best suited to the candidate who has at least 1 year of payroll experience coupled with excellent data entry and accounts payable experience.

About the Role:
  • Assisting with Payroll
  • Support the accounting department with invoice processing and expense verification
  • Distributes payments
  • Reconcile accounts and invoices
  • Recording entries in the general ledger
  • Account reconciliation to monthly statements
  • General office administration including data entry and filing
  • High attention to excellent client care through all client communications
  • Other duties as required

About You:
  • 1 year of recent Payroll & Accounts Payable experience
  • Recent Bachelor Degree or Diploma in Accounting preferred
  • Minimum 6 months office experience
  • Excellent experience using SAP is an asset
  • Excellent experience using MS Office and Excel
  • Superior communication skills, written and verbal
  • Strong work ethic and ability to work under pressure and deadlines
  • Experience working with confidential information

This role is based on-site in New Westminster, BC. Due to the nature of the work and confidentiality of information, this is not a work from home opportunity. All Provincial Covid-19 health guidelines are being followed.
