The opportunity

EY’s Technology Solutions Delivery practice assists our national consulting practices in planning, pursuing, delivering and managing large, complex full lifecycle initiatives along with providing experience in leading practices, methods, and resources in the Oracle’s cloud applications and technology space. Oracle Cloud Applications and Technology Services within the COE supports our area offices by providing resources that can design, configure and implement Oracle Cloud Application Solutions. This group advises clients to understand, architect and implement the core applications and technology required to run their business. Our focus will be on helping our clients to achieve following key benefits:

Responsibilities, Qualifications, Certifications

Your key responsibilities

• As a Cloud Solutions Architect, your day to day be a combination of a DevOps where you will be implementing projects on the cloud using cloud solutions and the rest as a Solutions Architect where you will be involved in supporting application teams on the migration projects. Other main duties will require you to:
• Perform various functions such as managing the cloud computing architecture, front-end platforms, servers, storage, delivery, and networks required to manage cloud storage.
• Leverage on Cloud environment and service-oriented architecture principles to define and own Solution Architecture (applications and data technologies)
• Work with clients to design a full-stack solution using software that fully integrates cloud infrastructure from data flow, security, DevOps, and other standpoints
• Propose suggestions and best practices to optimize clients’ cloud presence, performance, security, and cost
• Be responsible for the evaluation of technical risks and map out mitigation strategies
• Mange the direct infrastructure movement procedure, including bulk application transfers into the cloud environment
• Be responsible for spotting the cloud architecture solutions to effectively meet the strategic needs of the clients.

To qualify for the role you must have

• A Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, electrical engineering, or computer science, or in any other relevant field.
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect certification and 3 years of hands on experience
• Function as a Cloud Subject Matter Expert for implementing and overseeing cloud computing strategy in an organization.
• Oversee application architecture requirements and deployment in cloud environments.
• Have extensive experience with operating system: Linux, Unix, Solaris, Ubuntu, Windows; Knowledge in networking - TCP/IP, IP addresses, HTTP, DNS.
• Have capabilities in scripting languages and experience with relational databases are an asset
• Be able to work in a cross-functional teams and manage relationship with the team members, vendors and clients
• Possess good written and verbal communication skills to effectively articulate complex cloud reports and relate with clients, IT development partners, and team members.

Skills and attributes for success

• Over 10 years of relevant experience with leading and performing as a Solution Architect and or delivery lead in leading IT Services Industry.
• Expertise in leading technology areas such as – Oracle – EBS and Cloud
• Over 15 years of overall experience in relevant industries such as (Financial Services, Network, Utilities, Health Care, Marketing, Pharma, Retail etc.) – with hands on experience handling data driven decisions.
• Certified in one of the Cloud Technologies (Google, AWS or Azure), have solutioned deals involving Cloud
• Knowledge of Agile and SAFe Agile Certified.
• Experienced in solutioning deals involving System Integration and Application Outsourcing
• Experience in Leading large transformation deals or medium to large scale automation projects.
• Experience in statistical tools, RPA and related projects in RPA, Project Management and Demonstrated strong understanding of Process modeling tools and concepts.
• Broad financial knowledge for budgeting, profit plan obtainment etc.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or any computer related discipline.
• Proficient verbal and written communication skills in English.
