What will your typical day look like?

As the National Program Lead, Indigenous Recruitmentat Deloitte you will run an end to end recruitment process for Indigenous peoples for our Canadian practice. Our team works hand in hand with our Hiring Managers to understand business needs and develop a pipeline of qualified candidates. You will leverage your sourcing skills to attract active and passive Indigenous candidates while having access to tools to help you run an efficient interview process.

In this role you will support the Talent team and Deloitte Indigenous team; key responsibilities include assisting in the execution of Deloitte Canada’s Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) based on the guiding commitments and targets under the employment pillar to build out the firm’s recruitment strategy. You will join a teamleading Deloitte’s Indigenous strategy to help embed reconciliationacross internal functions of the firm. This will entail providing strategic guidance to build out the strategy, while engaging internal committees supporting Indigenous employment. The National Program Lead, Indigenous Recruitmentwill connect Indigenous communities and organizations to opportunities within the firm and strengthen current partnerships to build brand eminence. They will act as a subject matter expert to share best practices on policies and guidelines as it relates to Indigenous peoples while providing feedback on outreach strategies to increase Indigenous representation across all areas of the firm.

Enough about us, let’s talk about you

You are someone who is/has:
  • Experienced in driving change in an organization and fostering strong relationships with senior stakeholders across a specific service line
  • Experienced working with Indigenous communities through building and developing relationships with key organizations through engagement and outreach
  • A minimum 5 years combined experience working in a contingency/retained search environment coupled with corporate experience
  • Superior client management skills, able to effectively and persuasively present information and ability to interpret business needs based on shared information
  • Demonstrated interest and commitment to furthering reconciliation with Indigenous and non-Indigenous peoples
  • Knowledge and experience navigating through a complex, professional environment
  • A strong preference for individuals with proven experience delivering high quality candidates in a fast-paced professional environment
  • Be a continuous learner, highly analytical, with good conceptual and critical thinking skills
  • Bilingualism (English, French, and/or any Indigenous language) is an asset
