SEEKING PROJECT COORDINATOR

Must have 2 + years of experience in the in the woodworking/ Millwork industry, preferably in a Projects or Drafting/Programming role

Knowledge, skills and abilities

Communication and listening skills, Highly organized, Takes direction well and executes as directed

Hands on Shop Experience is considered a strong asset

Proficiency in the use of computers for:

Microsoft Office; Word, Excel, Data base management, Outlook email and calendar

General Guidelines:

• Create and execute task work plans as directed by PM, revise as appropriate to meet changing needs and always work in order of priority
• Accept FULL ownership of every task assigned
• Work under direction of PMs
• Attend meetings pertaining to the project as requested
• Effectively apply the company methodology and enforce project standards; Plans and specs

• Create shipping lists

Fiscal Responsibilities:

• Assist in maintaining CPO scheduling

Technical Understanding:

• Possess comprehensive understanding of computer programs as they relate to job description and company mandates; Microsoft Office; Excel, Word & Projects, Prime 6400, Mitrefinch, Drop Box and FTP Site Management, Outlook email & calendar, Adobe PDF
• Possess a thorough understanding of your own capabilities and maintain a willingness to learn more
• Maintain an awareness of emerging technology and the potential application to your position
• Constant openness to learn and understand fabrication & integration of; millwork, veneer, cores, solids, glass, steel, stone, fabric, etc.
• Constant openness to learn and understand updated millwork languages; LEED, Awmac, Building Codes, Trade References

Communication:

• Keep PM well informed of changes within project
• Resolve issues as they arise and engage PM when they escalate
• Coordinate with Shop staff and Logistics
• Communicate effectively to identify needs and evaluate task durations
• Coordinate with the Plant Manager and Shop

The CPO will provide a weekly look ahead so that you know what you should be reviewing by priority of ship date. The week in advance list should be reviewed with Plant Manager and Foreman so they can lead you in direction of where to find the product to inspect

QUALITY CONTROL:

• Ensure correct iteration of drawings are on shop floor
• Random checks against approved shop drawings
• Check ALL materials against approved control samples
• Completion by room/unit 100% complete before handover to logistics; nothing ships incomplete
• Quality Control and Product Verification of integrated materials from sub-trades and suppliers
• Liaison for Office to Shop & Logistics
• Product verification during packaging and loading

• Maintain a clean personal work place and respect shared areas
• Communicate constructively and transparently
• Come to all meetings prepared and on time
• Respect all other departments and remember they are here to assist you in the success of your project
• Respect company policies and safety regulations
