Methods Engineer - Manufacturing

DescriptionOur client is looking for an experienced Methods Agent/Engineer with experience working with sheet metal parts and writing specific details for these parts in a manufacturing setting. This position will require both experience in planning and experience in an aerospace or automotive industry. This position will be working alongside a production line for a legacy product that requires a contemporary overhaul.Skills Breakdown

• 3-7 years of progressive hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the aerospace industry
• Previous experience in a Manufacturing planning a support role
• Knowledge of the fabrication and assembly of aircraft parts
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Working knowledge of cost accounting and cost estimating.
• Knowledge of Aerospace engineering and manufacturing principles and techniques.
• Ability to apply sound engineering principles to operational and process design issues.
• Ability to read and interpret aircraft engineering drawings.
• Combination of education and experience in aerospace and/or manufacturing will be considered
• Degree or diploma in Engineering or Engineering Technology; or equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Aircraft Maintenance Engineer) considered an asset
• Advanced knowledge in MS Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Intermediate knowledge in CAD or CATIA
