The Medical Sales Representative is responsible in maintaining sales relationships with clients for CPAP Pros at all times. This position drives the execution of sales plans and strategies to promote the services of the company. The Technical Sales Specialist will provide consistent communication with all our referral partners (referring Doctors) and work hard to create a strong brand that will grow over time. This job will require travel as most of the time your efforts will be spent visiting Medical Clinics and meeting with Referring Physicians and Clinic Managers. The job will largely involve skills as a medical representative to educate our referral sources current and new about our various services and there will also be some administrative duties. The opportunities to develop knowledge in sleep as well as advancement within the company will only be limited to the successful applicant’s drive to learn and grow.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Science/Marketing, Diploma or Certificate with specialization in healthcare or sales an asset
  • With at least 2-year experience as a medical sales representative preferred
  • Class 5 driver’s License with clean drivers abstract a necessity
  • Customer Service experience essential
  • Experience in a sales or managerial capacity is an asset

Skills:

  • Strong People skills (Ability to build meaningful relationships with referral partners /clinics staff and colleagues through exceptional service (in person, over the phone and via email)
  • Selling skills (should be able to convince referral partners and sources that we have the best service offerings for community-based Sleep Care in Greater Vancouver Area.
  • Strategic thinking skills (should know how to profile Doctors and Medical Clinic Staff and what would be the best approach to convince them to send us referrals).
  • Strong organizational skills (maintain timely and accurate tracking of records and data this will include updates to Somnus marketing Portal software and tracking of referrals (sales) for commission pay.
  • Strong communication skills (Face to face, over the phone and through email)
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize workload, work under pressure, plan out an agenda and driving route for clinic visits
  • Self-motivated, able to work well alone or as part of a team and resilient (sometimes you will face a lot of “No” or rejections for being able to enter clinics especially during COVID and you will need to remain positive and persistent)
  • Good driver. Can easily drive around different parts of Greater Vancouver Area without any issue. (West Van, North Van, Vancouver, Burnaby, Richmond, Port Moody, New West, Coquitlam, Port Coquitlam, Pitt Meadows, Maple Ridge, Delta, Surrey, Langley). We will concentrate at first on areas closest to our Clinic in New Westminster and then move outward from there.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Establish and continue good relations with medical clinics (staff and physicians) and any corporate clients
  • Identify new Physicians or Medical Clinic Staff and meet with them to promote CPAP PROS and its services to generate new business (referrals) and clientele
  • Develop sales presentations, ideas and strategies in order to illustrate the product and services and to grow the referral base
  • Explain Clinical Process for CPAP PROS, educate potential clients about Sleep Conditions and benefits of Treatment/ PAP Therapy
  • Establish key referral partners and differentiate CPAP PROS from its competitors by further building the credibility of the company
  • Drive the development of sales territory and new Marketing / Referral Opportunities
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve business goals
  • Help assess market conditions to develop sales strategies based on market trends
  • Respond in a timely manner to any Physician or Referring Partner complaints so that these issues and concerns can be managed in a timely and professional manner
  • Maintain customer record with confidentiality
  • Work closely with team members in the office in order to facilitate good overall communication and flow of information between what is happening outside and inside the clinic
  • Ensure to track clinic/ referral base data using Somnus Marketing Portal software
  • Provide after sale support to customers and resolve any problems
  • A driver’s license and a good driving record may be required.
