Your Opportunity

We are seeking a Mechanical Technologist for our growing New Brunswick team. Candidate can work in any of our three NB offices (Saint John, Moncton, and Fredericton).

Your Responsibilities

• Computer-aided design (CAD) and drafting of HVAC and mechanical/piping systems details as directed
• Referencing applicable codes, regulations, and standards of practice
• Completing mechanical calculations for HVAC and Plumbing systems in accordance with the relevant Canadian and International Standards
• On-site data collection
• Preparing mechanical project specifications
• Calculating design quantities for materials and preparing labour and material cost estimates
• Site travel as required by project
  

The Skills And Knowledge You Bring

• Certification in Mechanical Engineering Technology from a recognized Institution
• Registration with New Brunswick Society of Certified Engineering Technicians and Technologists (NBSCETT) as a P. Tech or CET (or eligible for immediate registration)
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in design of mechanical systems for various building projects
• Valid Driver’s License and own vehicle for site visits
• Experience in the development of piping isometrics
• Extensive knowledge in AutoCAD
• Knowledge in REVIT/BIM would be an asset
• Self-motivated team player able to work with a variety of goals and issues simultaneously
• Familiarity with Canadian Building Codes and mechanical engineering practices
• Strong communication skills
• Flexibility to travel and work on site when required
