Working closely with other members of the Engineering Team, you will assist in the daily operations of the Hotel to ensure systems are maintained to meet the highest standards possible. This candidate must be experienced in all aspects of the trade, able to work independently, as a team player, and adhere to both environmental and safe work practices.

What You Will Be Doing
  • Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service
  • Both experience and the technical knowledge to apply your trade in maintenance of boilers, chillers, water towers and associated water treatment.
  • Strong understanding of HVAC systems, DDC and building management programs.
  • Communicate effectively and professionally with both guests and colleagues, respond to requests in a timely manner, and assist in achieving the Departmental and Hotel goals.
  • Responsible for assisting in maintaining daily log entries, and records relative to Preventative Maintenance and Life Safety inspections.
  • Organized and able to maintain a positive approach to working within a high-paced and often times high-pressure environment.
  • Other duties as assigned
Your Experience And Skills Include
  • Minimum - 4th Class Power Engineering
  • Class 5 driver’s license with clean record (abstract must be provided upon acceptance)
  • Minimum 2 years of previous Engineering experience in upscale, full-service hotel
  • Prior hospitality experience an asset
  • Computer skills working with MS Word and Excel
  • Constant standing and walking throughout shift
  • This full time position can be physically demanding in a high paced and challenging environment.
  • You may be required to work weekends, extended hours and available for emergencies as they develop.
  • The majority of your duties will involve a great deal of time on your feet, walking, carrying tools and materials as well as work on ladders of various size.
  • Balancing your workload and working under pressure while understanding priorities will ensure your success
