Manager, Global External Communications (12-month Contract)

Reporting to the Vice President, Global External COmmunications, this position will be responsible for generating positive brand awareness and understanding.

What you will be doing:

Responsible for supporting the group’s group external communications team with a focus on Accor’s diverse portfolio of brands, including:

• Media Relations – responsiveness to media inquiries and activity from international media
• Collaboration with PR regional teams – high level support and coordination of PR and communications activity across global markets
• Event Management and Planning – trade shows, conferences, brand activations and press trip support, coordination and development
• Copywriting and Editing – review of internal and external brand materials ( i.e. press releases)
• Content Development – creation of press materials ( i.e. press kits and releases, messaging documents, briefing material)
• PR Agency Coordination – ongoing interaction with supporting communication agencies

Your experience and skills include:

• Undergraduate or post graduate degree in public relations, journalism or communications
• Minimum of 3-5 years working in communications
• Agency experience is an asset
• Highly organized and self motivated – can work remotely
• Expert writing skills
• Knowledge of lifestyle and travel media is an asset
• Proven ability to adapt in a fast paced and changing environment
