Job Description


Manager - Identity and Access Management

The Information Security team seeks a high-energy, motivated leader for the position of Manager – Identity and Access Management. In this role you will lead a team of high performing individuals focused on engineering and transforming Thomson Reuters’ Directory Services capability. The IAM team is completely modernizing the identity landscape as a cornerstone of our security posture.

In this role, you will focus on developing engineers focused on Active Directory Services capability and the integrations with Virtual Directory Services (VDS), and our SSO. The right leader will bring a mix of strong technical credentials and leadership skills focused on team development and delivering outcomes for the IAM program.

Primary Responsibilities:

Lead a team of technical engineers responsible for enterprise Directory Services capability.

Challenge legacy Directory Services architectures with a focus on consolidation and cloud first approach to identity.

Provide tactical leadership to the team and develop strategic objectives for the Directory Services program with focus on delivering advanced capability, integration and modernization into TR environments.

Holistic development of the Directory Services team focusing on enhancing technical and business skills.

Delivering modern capability in our Active Directory platforms by focusing automation, simplification, and scalability.

Ensure Directory services capability facilitates organizational outcomes while aligning with the larger IAM program.

Act as the project lead driving the migration and adoption of modern Directory platforms.

Act as the leadership owner on initiatives involving directory services

Maintain expertise on technologies in Directory Federation Services (AADC, GCP, and AWS) within the larger IAM space.

Performance Reviews and goal setting in concert with TR business objectives

Provide coaching, feedback and mentoring to staff

Build and foster relationships with key stakeholders, BU leaders, and technology teams.

Be a champion internally and externally for the IAM team across the company

Required Skills:

4+ years’ experience leading teams of technical engineers

6+ years plus with technical experience developing and migration into IAM solutions (especially Microsoft Active Directory)

5+ years IT or IT Security experience

Consistent record of developing and improving the security posture of enterprise systems across IAM teams.

Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with information technology professionals, senior management, auditors and vendors.

Experience with the design, implementation, and migration of Microsoft Active Directory capability.

Experience with design, implementation, and adoption of Directory Federation and SSO services.

Strong leadership and analytical skills with a record of people development and technical delivery.

Working knowledge of the entire IAM ecosystem and key touchpoints within Directory Services.

Working knowledge of cloud providers and their IAM capability.

Familiarity with SAML, OpenID Connect, Oauth, LDAP, Kerberos, DNS, Microsoft AD, MFA, and IP networking

General understanding of ITIL process

Ability to travel periodically, some remote working possible
