Overall responsibility:

A Lounge Assistant is responsible to provide a positive customer service experience by greeting guests and creating a welcoming atmosphere. To prepare and serve food and beverages to the customers. Clear and clean the table after customer finished their meal.

Location:Vancouver International Airport.

Responsibilities:

  • To take care of all the food in the food counter, reheat food, replenish food, drinks, condiments etc.
  • To prepare and cook hot serving at the food counter.
  • To prepare and serve coffee, cappuccino, latte and alcoholic drinks, upsell premium drinks at the bar and handle bar duties, to monitor the alcoholic consumption of customers.
  • To assist in cooking, such as breakfast, muffins, cookies, prepare veggie platter, salad bowls, and make sandwiches.
  • Maintain inventory stocking freezer and cooler. To record of food, beverages, and supplies.
  • Strictly follows FIFO - Frist In, First Out order. To label food items with the dates and put the older foods in front or on top so that you use them first.
  • Unloading and storing deliveries of food items.
  • Monitor, clean, tidy and setup up washrooms, shower rooms, and napping room.
  • To clear and clean the table after customer finished their meal.
  • Keep work areas are clean and dry at all times. Cleaning and mopping kitchen floors, especially in the event that items are spilled.
  • To wash dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and taking out trash.
  • To process dirty linens, placing them in the Canadian Linen bags and follow the linen collection procedure.
  • To ensure that proper cleaning procedures are adhered to and personal protective equipment (PPE) is worn at all times during the shift. Employees are expected to follow all health and safety regulations, enforced and updated by the company.
  • To transport food, equipment or stock from one lounge to the other; or to different locations.
  • To take up any additional duties and work based on operational requirement as assigned by on duty manager, such as, cover duties for colleague during their break.

Requirements:

  • Serving It Right and Food Safe Level 1 certified.
  • Able to work different hours of shift, no fixed schedule.
  • Flexible availabilities including weekdays, weekends and statutory holidays required.
  • Proficiency in English.
  • Able to stand for long hours
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Proof that you are fully vaccinated against COVID-19 with a vaccine recognized by the Public Health Agency of Canada.
