• Description:* The Junior buyer will be assisting with tactical day-to-day tasks and follow-ups with suppliers. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to join a thriving Aerospace procurement team and grow into a more tenured role. First Part Of Responsibilities:
• This person will be buying raw material (different metals, stainless steels), when buying products will need to take into consideration heat treatment
• They are working closely with the planning team and program managers to understand buying needs
• They are entering 45-50 PO on a weekly basis; They place PO for material that will cover them for the next 6 months.
• They enter these orders in an internal ERP system (Microsoft access).
• The suppliers they will be working with are in Europe and the US.
• They will be mostly working with approved vendors but could have to source for new suppliers
• They will be negotiating price and lead time with suppliers
• They need to make sure that each supplier follows quality qualification/ AS9100 regulations
• They should have a basic understanding of machining concept Second Part Of Responsibilities:
• Deal with transport logistics company
• Things they buy are heavy and big, they need to coordinate with the freight forwarders for picked up and delivered and inspected in their warehouse
• They need to deal with customs documentations
• Send out RFQ, deal with different shipping options and depending on the urgency they might need to ship by air freight- best for company to meet objectives
• Must haves:*
• New graduate in Supply Chain, Commerce or Logistics
• 1-2 years of professional experience
• Excel – Vlookup and pivot tables
• Excellent communication skills in French & English (Dominant language is acceptable)
• This candidate needs a car, to see to local suppliers
• Asset:*
• ERP systems
• ACCESS
• Bilingual asset
• Raw metals would be an asset
