Opportunity

First Truck Centre has an exciting opening for a Journeyman Service Technician at our Lloydminster branch. Working in our shop the Journeyman will contribute in one of Canada’s best managed companies. Be a part of a team that takes trucking to the next level of quality and professionalism. Responsibilities

• Trouble shoots, diagnoses, repairs, and maintains our customer’s OEM class 6,7,8 vehicles in our shop
• Part of a team with co-workers, service managers, and outside vendors
• Ensure professional quality detail and care for customers
  

Skill Set

• Mechanically inclined with a strong aptitude for diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance
• Customer service focused with strong communication skills to document customer transactions
• Proven record of following safety procedures, provincial/federal legislation, and company policies
• Must be a motivated self-starter able to work in a fast paced, detailed, and processed driven environment
• Ability to work in a physical capacity including heavy lifting and using tools throughout the shift
  

Requirements

• AB Commercial Transport (Truck and Transport Mechanic) Journeyman Certificate required
• Will also accept 2nd or 3rd level Apprentice
• Class 5 driver’s license required
• Class 3 with air brakes or Class 1 an asset
• Must have own tools (required tool list will be provided)
• MVI Certifications an asset
