Located at dentalcorp’s Toronto Support Centre and reporting to the IT Director. The ideal candidate should have a strong technical background in systems and network security, along with excellent interpersonal and leadership abilities.
Role overview
- Providing leadership, guidance, and training to information systems security personnel
- Monitor all operations and infrastructure through alerts and logs to keep an eye on organization’s digital security footprint
- Maintain all security tools and technology
- Monitor internal and external policy compliance
- Help to design, implement, and maintain the organization’s cyber-security plan
- Monitor regulation compliance
- Work with different departments in the organization to reduce risk
- Implement new technology
- Audit policies and controls continuously
- Ensure cybersecurity stays on organizational radar
- Present and conduct regular cyber security training to Support Centre and practices
- Detail out security incident response program
- Develop and direct implementation of security standards and best practices for the organization
- Oversee information security audits, whether by performed by organization or third-party personnel
- Assess current technology architecture for vulnerabilities, weaknesses and for possible upgrades or improvement
What we’re looking for
- 5 or more years of systems and network security experience required
- 1 or more years of managerial experience preferred
- A bachelor’s degree in information technology or computer science is required
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well with people at every level and in every department are essential
- Candidates with certification in information security (CISSP, CSSLP, CCFP, CISM, etc.) or comparable work experience will be given preference
