You’ll have the opportunity to work with a fast-paced, driven team with a proven success record in both design and technical excellence! The successful candidate will offer experience being involved in large complex building projects end to end along with strong working drawings and BIM delivery – this will be imperative. You will have hands-on experience with detailed drawings and implementation through BIM platforms. The successful candidate will hold a Diploma in Architectural Technology or Degree in Architecture and have a minimum of 7 years of experience. The candidate will offer a robust portfolio of details and construction documents showing an array of projects. Experience with Transit Facility design is not necessary but will be considered an asset.

Role Responsibilities:

As an Intermediate Architectural Technologist in the transit studio, your role accountabilities will include:

• Develop architectural working drawing packages
• Detail development
• Provide constructability input
• Coordinate with other architectural and engineering disciplines and work streams
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary consultants
• Support the project manager on field services and construction administration
• Provide leadership and guidance to junior team members

Qualifications

Qualifications and Experience:

• Minimum Diploma in Architectural Technology or University Degree in Architecture
• Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience at an architectural firm
• Strong hands-on experience with architectural detailing and multidisciplinary coordination on large complex projects
• Strong hands-on experience with developing of architectural working drawings
• Expertise with Revit Architecture, Revit Structure & Revit MEP as demonstrated by sophisticated use of software
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for team-based working environment and for teaching others
• Excellent planning and organization skills required for fast-paced projects
• Highly motivated, proactive and willing to take on new challenges
• Adaptable, agile, and open to accepting design challenges
• Strong knowledge of the Ontario Building Code
• Experience with Transit Facility design will be considered an asset
