Job Description

Our client, Hybrid Elevator Inc., is looking for an Elevator Installerto join their team. As a company specializing in the manufacturing, installation, and servicing of custom residential elevators and wheelchair lifts, they are proud to be a family owned and operated company in British Columbia. More Specifically, The Installer Is Responsible For

Reporting to the Senior Elevator Technician and based in Burnaby, the successful candidate will be responsible for installing and servicing residential elevators throughout the Lower Mainland and Okanagan Valley. The role requires taking a hands-on approach, the ability to coordinate efforts with team members as well as contractors on the job site, and customer service.
  • Installing and assembling mechanical elevator components, including the fabrication of parts as needed;
  • Wiring of the elevator control panels and controls;
  • Inspecting installed elevators and completing quality control checks;
  • Diagnosing issues and making repairing;
  • Customer orientation and training;
  • Maintaining orderly and clean work vehicles;
  • Conducting site visits to take measurements, etc.;
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Solid mechanical knowledge and experience (able to expertly operate hand and power tools such as impact drivers, drills, wrenches, and saws);
  • Carpentry knowledge and experience (framing and basic construction experience an asset);
  • Basic electrical knowledge: wiring, troubleshooting, etc.;
  • Professional communication and presentation skills;
  • Strong problem solving skills and resourcefulness;
  • Physically fit and able to repeatedly lift and carry up to 50lbs unassisted;
  • Able to travel throughout BC depending on where the projects are located;
  • Flexibility to work longer hours when needed;
  • Valid and unrestricted Class 5 BC Driver’s License a must.
For the first 6-12 months, you will be required to travel to the Okanagan for ~50% of the time. Hybrid Elevator will make all necessary arrangements for hotels, and provides a per diem to cover costs while on the road. As volume ramps up, more of your time will be dedicated to supporting clients on the Coast and surrounding areas exclusively.
