Information Technology (IT) Systems Administrator (6 - 8 months contract)

In this role, the System Administrator will provide a range of support to ensure our IT systems and services are in working order to meet business needs. You will be part of a team responsible for troubleshooting hardware, software and networking issues, as well as ensuring that all computing operations run with optimal performance and security.

To be successful, a System Administrator should have an excellent ability to solve problems using in-depth understanding of information systems and computing solutions. The System Administrator will also be a team player, willing to handle all support requests with courtesy and professionalism.

Role:

• Responsible for management, configuration, and operation of cloud services including Office 365 services and collaboration tools, and VoIP cloud system
• Responsible for the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems and network equipment
• Install and upgrade computer components and software, manage virtual servers, and integrate automation processes
• Troubleshoot hardware and software errors by running diagnostics, documenting problems and resolutions, prioritizing problems, and assessing impact of issues
• Provide documentation and technical specifications to IT staff for planning and implementing new or upgrades of IT infrastructure
• Lead desktop and helpdesk support efforts, making sure all desktop applications, workstations, and related equipment problems are resolved in a timely manner with limited disruptions
• Ensure compliance to company IT KPIs and SLAs

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline
• 3-5 years of system or network administration, or equivalent experience
• IT certifications in Microsoft, ITIL, Cisco, or any other network related are a plus
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Operating Systems, Office 365, Active Directory, Microsoft Azure, IT Networking and VoIP systems
• Experience with scripting and automation tools, especially with Azure, SharePoint, and Exchange PowerShell
• A proven track record of developing and implementing IT strategy and plans
• Strong knowledge of implementing and effectively developing helpdesk and IT operations best practices
• Proven experience as a System Administrator, Network Administrator or similar role
• Excellent communication and writing skills
• Resourcefulness and problem-solving aptitude
