POSITION SUMMARY:
In this hands-on maintenance position, the successful candidate will apply their technical abilities to maintain equipment across a wide variety of production assembly assets ranging from manual line for automation and robotic lines. The successful candidate will be expected to complete machine repairs, preventative maintenance (PM) and predictive maintenance (PdM) events to schedule. Temperature controlled environment for comfort and a productive atmosphere. As a member of the maintenance team, you will be required to work in a team environment, which includes being self-motivated, accepting responsibilities, completing assigned action items, and participating in a proactive manner in all team events as well as making daily contributions towards reducing unplanned downtime, practicing safe working habits and becoming a world class maintenance (WCM) operation
Pay starts at $34.11 per hour as per collective agreement.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Other duties may be assigned beyond the core functions listed below.
  • Perform production equipment repairs, builds and modification.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose equipment, and identify root cause.
  • Disassemble, reassemble, and test machinery.
  • Inspect, build and install guarding throughout the facility.
  • Support and maintain the department lean initiatives.



SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Functions as an individual contributor with no supervisory responsibilities
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIRED SKILLS:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals to perform the essential functions.
  • 3-5 years experience in machining environment
  • Red Seal Industrial Millwright Mechanic (433A)
  • Able to maintain production and facility equipment in working condition for max uptime
  • Able to complete work assignments as directed through assignment of work orders in a timely manner
  • Perform outlined procedures for regular machine preventive/predictive maintenance program
  • Conduct troubleshooting and repair activities for machine breakdowns
  • Ensure compliance with all legislative requirements
  • Support and maintain the department lean initiatives
  • 3 shift rotation
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; and talk or hear. The employee will need to listen and talk to other employees as well as. Specific vision capabilities required as the employee is to work in front of a computer on a day to day basis.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The noise level is usually moderate, the lighting is mild and the space is comfortable. Dust levels are nonexistent and disturbances are rare. The temperature is always consistent in keeping the employees comfortable.
