Reporting to the President and owner of the Company, the General Manager provides leadership for Saliance Global’s energy division (Aeraden Energy) with full P&L responsibility. The position is responsible for the overall leadership and management of strategic directions, day-to-day administration and operations.
Work location can be Lloydminster
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide effective overall leadership in all aspects of the business in a manner consistent with Company vision and core values at strategic, operational, client management and organizational management levels;
- Develop, monitor annual budget and production plans, produce timely and accurate financial and production reporting;
- Develop efficient, effective and high quality productions, services and solutions;
- Grow the business profitably, by using existing physical assets and directing resources;
- Review and/or approve major operating, business, engineering and maintenance decisions, as required, ensure sites are operated in compliance of all applicable laws and regulations, purchase/maintenance/service contract agreements, etc.;
- Directly, and/or through delegation, coordinate activities required to assure optimum safety and environmental compliance, sites efficiency and reliability in accordance with established contracts, agreements, policies and applicable regulatory laws and procedures;
- Monitor levels of productions for multiple sites;
- Drive business development, from goalsetting through the sales lifecycle;
- Determine, monitor and evaluate KPI’s for team;
- Provide oversight to ensure best and safe business practice and Standard Operating Procedures are implemented;
- Be the principle interface between the customer and the Company;
- Develop and build business and customer relations;
- Work with the customer on contract negotiations, implement new projects and evaluate project improvements;
- Responsible for the overall talent management - hiring, training and performance of administration, operations, engineering and project teams;
- Provide reports and make recommendations to upper management on issues and opportunities;
- Work in collaborations with Corporate Shared Services on IT, Finance and HR matters;
- Perform other appropriate duties and special projects as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:(experience, education, soft skills, technical skills, etc.)
- Business management/administration and/or engineering/petroleum degree;
- Extensive experience within the Energy (Oil & Gas) industry at an executive level;
- Proven leadership track record in the Energy Sector, strategically and operationally;
- Demonstrated entrepreneurial track record in business development and client management with particular focus in the energy sector;
- Sound business acumen – sales, finance and organizational/people management skills;
- Ability to collaborate, co-operate and network effectively within a demanding, culturally diverse, matrix organization;
- A “doer” and a hands-on leader who does not mind “rolling up the sleeves” and getting things done;
- Results driven with a passion, drive and motivation for self and team;
- International exposure and mindset, combined with cultural sensitivity;
- Excellent interpersonal and management skills;
- Superb English communication skills both verbal and written;
- Ability to travel by car between sites;
- Legally working in Canada.
