We are looking for a General Labourerto join the team at ourNew Westminster yard located at 201 Duncan Street along the Fraser River.

As General Labourer, You Will

• Assist with general yard clean up/maintenance.
• Assist with cleaning of equipment, cutting steel banding for package securement, monitoring disposal of items, and railcar securement.
• Handling a wide variety of products between rail cars and trucks.
• Work in adherence to all safe work practices, procedures, as well as all regulatory requirements.
• Provide feedback to employer on working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of yard, shop, department, or work crew.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor/manager.

• Enjoys working in a fast-paced environment as a member of a team
• Ability to climb ladders, throw rail cables and lift 50lbs
• Ability to work outside in all weather conditions
• Aptitude for working around various types of equipment (ie. trucks, forklifts, cranes)
• Solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environment
• Previous general labourer experience is an asset
• Previous forklift experience is an asset, but taining will be provided
• Must have reliable transportation
