The Front Office Manager plans, organises, directs and controls the activities, human, material and financial resources of the reception and concierge services. He/she is responsible for the quality of customer service.

Job description
  • Provide outstanding customer service.
  • Apply and enforce Marriott policies and standards
  • Responsible for informing and sharing important information of the day with his/her team.
  • Responsible for greeting guests and keeping the front desk area clean, the lobby and the main entrance.
  • Presence in public spaces.
  • Daily checking of schedules and occupancy to ensure adequate productivity
  • Participate in training and coaching of colleagues
  • Champion the Marriott BonVoy program,
  • Ensures that ’upsells’ program is pushed;
  • Prepare guest stays and folios;
  • In conjunction with the Front Desk Manager, is also responsible for the annual associate reviews of all front desk departments
  • In the absence of the Reception Manager, is responsible for conducting disciplinary meetings between associates and the union.
  • Ensures the smooth running of the M Club by making frequent rounds at key times of the day.
  • Acts as a reference for all other departments in the hotel.
  • Participates in interdepartmental meetings and pre-convention meetings.
  • Handle payroll with the rest of the front office management team.
  • Support the FOM, performing any tasks deemed necessary for the smooth running of the department.
