Are you ready to be part of a dynamic team responsible for defining BRP’s manufacturing and logistics strategies?

The Logistics Strategy team, located at BRP’s centre of expertise, which has a primary focus on optimizing our global costs and operations, is responsible for defining future logistics standards and strategies for assembly plants as well as the North American finished goods distribution network. The department is also responsible for leading product development activities related to logistics for BRP’s entire recreational product line. The team also supports manufacturing sites regarding their logistics function (planning, transportation, handling, logistics engineering, etc.) for multiple tactical and strategic issues.

Your Main Responsibilities

As a Project Manager for transportation, reporting to the Head of Logistics Strategy, you will work in the NPD (New Product Development) department. Your main role will be to:

• Act as a key contact for transportation in the early phases of product development (Early Gates NPD).
• Work with the purchasing group to identify and quantify the impact of supplier changes on transportation.
• Optimize the inbound supply chain and North American distribution network for our recreational products.
• More specifically, your duties will include:
• Calculating transportation costs for all new product introductions or new platforms (Gates NPD 0 to 3).
• Calculating transportation costs for all feasibility studies (business case) related to recreational products.
• Collaborating on vehicle design reviews to identify opportunities to reduce transportation costs.
• Performing transportation network analysis to optimize, or confirm transportation assumptions.
• Coordinating and tracking various deliverables required by the NPD process.
• Developing and implementing robust transportation cost modelling.
• Developing and implementing KPIs that measure the impact of product development on our transportation costs.
• Managing various projects related to the continuous improvement of our business processes.
  

Your Qualifications And Skills

• A bachelor’s degree in logistics/supply chain management, industrial engineering, or other relevant field.
• A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience (transportation cost optimization, feasibility studies, product development, supply chain management, manufacturing operations).
• Solid knowledge of Excel software to carry out data processing.
• Fluency in English is essential. French would be an asset.
• Knowledge of PowerBI or other business intelligence software would be an asset.
• Knowledge of transportation management software such as SAP TMS would be an asset.
• An excellent ability to analyze various complex parameters while being able to synthesize and communicate information to different audiences.
• Recognized leadership skills with the ability to demonstrate exemplary work ethic.
• Highly autonomous in performing duties and able to demonstrate tenacity in managing several projects simultaneously and providing turnkey deliveries.
• A creative mindset with a flair for innovation and challenging the status quo.
• Ability to integrate new work tools in a constantly changing environment.
• Available to travel occasionally.
  

This position will be based in Sherbrooke( Quebec) or in Valcourt (Quebec).
