Job Description

Saskatchewan Health Authority is seeking a locum family physician with additional anesthesia training to provide services at the Yorkton Regional Health Centre.

The Yorkton Regional Health Centre is an 86-bed acute care referral center with services provided to residents of Yorkton and the surrounding rural facilities/health centers. Locum coverage will include on-call and OR.

Job Qualifications

Saskatchewan Medical Association requires a Family Physicians with additional Anesthesiology training. The successful candidates must be registered or eligible to register with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Saskatchewan (CPSS). Physicians must maintain membership and insurance with the Canadian Medical Protective Association and be legally entitled to work in Canada.

Additional Information

The City of Yorkton is located in the southeast area of the province, with a population just under 20,000 people. The referral population for our specialty services is approximately 100,000; the area extends itself north, south and east across the Manitoba border. Over 50 Family Physicians may do referrals to this specialty.

Currently, the following specialty services are provided in the regional health center:

• Obstetrics/Gynecology
• General Surgery
• Radiology
• Psychiatry
• Internal Medicine
• Anesthesiology
• Medical Health Officer
