Your Challenge

EXP is currently searching for an Environmental Projects Coordinator/Technical Assistantto join our Ontario team. The ideal applicant will have experience in monitoring the environmental aspects of major transit projects in Ontario.

Your Responsibilities

• Under the direction of an Environmental Manager, monitor the implementation of environmental aspects of the project daily
• Ensure compliance with all project requirements including the project agreement, environmental assessment, and applicable environmental law
• Prepare reports summarizing environmental issues and deficiencies and associated corrective and preventative measures
• Liaise with the environmental team and construction contractors and attend meetings to provide updates to client
  

The Skills, Knowledge, And Ability We Seek

• Minimum of 1 year of work-related experience conducting environmental inspections, monitoring and compliance would be considered an asset
• Undergraduate or advanced degree in an environmental discipline (environmental science, ecology, etc), other disciplines will be considered based on experience
• Responsible/ experience with the completion of various field investigations (test pits, borehole drilling, sampling), monitoring and associated reporting for a variety of Environmental Services, including, but not limited to: Environmental Site Assessments (Phase I and Phase II ESAs)
• Environmental Site Remediation (Underground Storage Tank Removals, Soil and/or Groundwater Remediation Oversight), would be considered an asset
• Ability to work effectively in high demand, fast-paced environment
• Excellent written and oral communications skills and strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to provide strong leadership managing a multi-discipline team
