Description:

Shanto Dental Ceramics, one of the largest and fastest-growing full-service labs in BC, is currently seeking experienced, skilled dental lab technicians to work full time in our dental lab. If you have at least two years’ relevant experience in a dental lab – we want to hear from you!

General Responsibilities:

Ceramic-metal and metal restoration

• Prepare the margins of the dies
• Apply the "spacer" on the dies
• Wax the cups
• Prepares the spruing stems
• prepares and performs the pouring of the "investing" mixture
• Performs the metal casting (casting)
• Adjust the cups on the dies

Aesthetic restoration

• Make Emax crowns
• Performs diagnostic waxing of cosmetic cases
• Make temporary crowns and bridges

Other techniques

• Presses all porcelain crowns
• Scans the crowns and bridge in Procera / Zircon / Lava
• Fits Procera / Zircon / Lava cups on dies
• Performs conventional welding
• Performs laser welding
• Performs restorations on implants
• Perform restorations with attachments

Qualifications:

• Certification as a Registered Dental Technician or equivalent education and experience
• 2+ years of experience in dental technology, CAD design experience a plus
• Must possess effective oral communication and interpersonal skills with ability to deal with all levels of personnel in a professional and effective manner
• Must have a thorough understanding of porcelain pressing technology, crown morphology, and crown and bridge case design
• Same-day denture experience is a bonus, but not required
