Work Arrangements
The Theatre Department in the Faculty of Language, Literature and Performing Arts is seeking to expand its list of contract instructors qualified to teach courses in Movement and Voice.
Successful applicants will be placed on a list of contract instructors eligible for future work that may include the following courses: THEA 1111, THEA 1211, THEA 1171, THEA 1271, THEA 2311, and THEA 2411.

The Successful Candidates Will
Responsibilities
- teach foundational Voice and/or Movement in our first- and/or second- year of the diploma program;
- plan, organize, and manage learning activities, and maintain quality learner-centred instruction;
- assess and evaluate students’ progress and achievement;
- support an ensemble-based learning environment;
- attend faculty-team meetings and student interviews to discuss student progress.
- a minimum of a relevant MFA or equivalent experience;
- a record of successful teaching at the post-secondary level;
- a demonstrated ability to work with a population of diverse learners;
- experience teaching students with exceptionalities;
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
- demonstrated initiative, creativity, and self-directedness;
- awareness of Indigenization and Reconciliation practices in post-secondary institutions and/or theatre pedagogy;
- evidence of ongoing professional development.
