The successful candidate must have strong interpersonal and communication skills, be detail oriented and possess an aptitude for problem identification and resolution. They must not hesitate to express their perspective in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment where continuous improvement is key. They will be responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate payment of financial transactions. The ideal Candidate will not hesitate to engage with the internal teams and our external customers to resolve issues preventing funding, educate and train team members and ensure we meet our high standard of service levels for funding turnaround time while ensuring accuracy as well as minimizing risk to the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Audit and Funding:

  • Audit all assigned contracts to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policy and procedures.
  • Ensure all credit conditions have been met to mitigate potential operational losses.
  • Validate pricing and ensure accuracy of the transaction record in the CRM system.
  • Verification of know your customer (KYC) including legal name verification, ID validation, email confirmation for electronic documentation audit.
  • Verification of know your transaction (KYT) requirements, asset type verification, identify and validate required documentation, pricing, product type (contract type), insurance coverage confirmation
  • Follow up to solve pending contract deficiencies. This may include but is not limited to following up with internal team members or making outbound calls to resolve issues preventing funding.
  • Maintain system of record as required.
  • Ensure service level requirements are met for funding turn around and response time.

Registration (PPSA, Notices of Security Interest):

  • Create new or amend existing registrations as required.
  • Review search and waiver requests by transaction.
  • Verify accuracy of PPSA or NOSI registrations, provide coaching and amend as required to ensure perfection.

Continuous process improvement and Training:

  • Consistently provide feedback on process improvement opportunities to improve productivity and effectiveness.
  • Participate and contribute to roll out of process improvements.
  • Train peers on Registration requirements, audit and funding processes/policies as required.

Skills, Knowledge & Experience

  • 2+ years of experience in Equipment Financing (commercial or consumer) required.
  • Proven track record in building strong relationships with internal stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated, self-starter and able to work successfully in a virtual team environment.
  • Detail oriented with an ability to prioritize, multi-task, organize, and execute in a fast-paced environment
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills that allow for successful outcomes in escalations, conflicts and when implementing changes in process or systems
  • Entrepreneurial nature, unafraid to express ideas for improvement to all levels and members of the organization. Ability to listen, compromise and execute on new ideas.
  • Strong problem solving skills, and understanding of business risk to drive decision making required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Thrives in environments with continuous change.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (excel, word), Adobe PDF.
  • T-value, Salesforce or other CRM platforms is an asset.
  • A university degree or equivalent experience.
