We are looking to hire a dedicated, reliable, competent, passionate, and experienced Machining Engineer, CNC Programmer & machinist. The candidate shall have interpersonal skills to work with individuals from a multicultural and diverse backgrounds and be passionate about learning and acquiring new skills.

This role will involve cam software selection, developing machining processes and programs for the manufacturing of products in multiple-axis lathe and mills. Assist in process improvement and cost reductions through productivity improvement and machine time reductions, including tool and new product program testing. Responsible for programing the CAD/CAM system that generates computer models of the parts into programs, setup of all tool library and selection of new machining tools to improve profitability.

Attention to detail and skilled in toolpath programming in cam software and mastery of the machining processes is an absolute must.

The ideal candidate possesses the following skills:

1) Must have Cam programming experience to toolpath for three axes, Three +two axes and five-axis machining.

2) Experience with 3 and 5 Axis milling and lathe machining processes.

3) Efficient in setup and running CNC machines to produce machine components in tight tolerances.

4) Must be able to understand blueprint.

5) Manufacturing of checking fixtures, production fixtures and automated machines.

6) Develop machining processes and programs for the manufacturing of products in multiple-axis lathes and mills, your will be acting tool engineer, manufacturing engineer, quality engineer and production machinist.

7) Analyze part drawings, sketches, and design data to determine dimension and configuration of cuts, selecting cutting tools, and machine speeds and feeds, according to knowledge of machine shop processes. Perform debugging and testing of CNC programs in the machining lathes and mills.

8) Develop and maintain CNC programs of multiple-axis lathes and mills using an advanced three-dimensional programming CAD/CAM system.

9) Write instruction sheets and tool lists to guide set-up and operation of the lathes and mills.

10) Assist in any testing/research required in the purchase of new CNC equipment, tooling and software.

11) Training of production operators on the use of new CNC machine control and tools.

12) Perform cutting tools evaluations, cost analysis and new technology implementation as well analyze tooling failures.

13) Cycle Time Reduction: adjusting feed and speeds, wasted machine moves, and evaluation of better cutters.

14) Work Holding Design and Manufacturing using CAD and CAM software.

15) Custom Tool Design and Manufacturing.

16) Take part in machine set-up/operation on shop floor.

17) Quote Machining Cycle Times for quoting purposes.

Qualifications:

  • Manufacturing environment experience
  • Knowledge of general inspection practices.
  • Must be comfortable in a fast paced work environment and possess good interpersonal skills.
  • CAM programing system
  • CAD solid modeling system (Preferably Solidworks/Alibre)
  • Work holding techniques 3R, Lang, 5th Axis
  • G & M Code Programming Lathe, Mill and 5 Axis
  • CNC Process Development: 5 years (Preferred)
  • CAM programing: 5 years (Preferred)
  • CAD modeling: 5 years (Preferred)
