What You’ll Do
  • Lead the technical approach for Cloud capabilities and provide oversight across multiple projects, working directly with both client and Slalom teams
  • Understand business goals and drivers and translate those into an appropriate technical solution
  • Provide technical direction and oversight to cloud implementation teams
  • Research, analyze, recommend and select technical approaches for solving difficult and meaningful development and integration problems
  • Keep up to date on and apply new tools and techniques to increase performance, automation, and scalability
  • SME to drive all aspects of business development pursuit deliverables (proposals, SOWs)
  • Help grow our practice by crafting solution offerings, developing thought leadership in the Cloud community, and leading teams
  • Mentor other Slalom team members and new hires
What You’ll Bring
  • 7+ years of cloud solution architect experience within a consulting environment
  • Hands on public cloud configuration and application migration experience (e.g. AWS, Azure, Google).
  • Hands on experience with public cloud migration tools and services.
  • Configuration Management and Infrastructure as Code experience (e.g. Chef, Puppet, Ansible, Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM)
  • CI/CD pipeline design and implementation experience
  • Experience building web-based applications using Java, Python, C# etc.
  • Proven knowledge of software architectures for performance, scalability and high availability – experience developing and deploying software products is a very strong asset
  • Ability to communicate with clients on a business level and translate their needs into a technical solution
  • Strong presentation skills with a high degree of comfort speaking with executives, IT Management, and developers
  • Demonstrated growth mindset, enthusiastic about learning new technologies quickly and applying the gained knowledge to address business problems
  • Strong analytical problem-solving ability
  • Experience enhancing production applications or workloads in a cloud-based environment
Good To Have
  • Containerization experience with Docker, Kubernetes
  • Database knowledge (e.g. SQL/NoSQL, MSSQL, Oracle, MySQL)
