Location: Guelph, Ontario (flexible work environment)

(full-time permanent position)

This position involves (but not limited to):

• Development and preparation of engineering design and drawings using AutoCAD Civil 3D, as well as writing technical reports and ensuring the design drawings conform to specifications;
• Maintain current working knowledge of municipal design requirements;
• Provide QA/QC for in-progress and completed designs;
• Collaborating with and contributing to multi-office design teams to ensure successful project delivery and efficiency, while meeting the needs of clients and design quality standards.

Project Types Include:

Land Development (Site Plans/Subdivisions) - Contract Administration Support

Professional Knowledge andQualifications/Role Experience Required:

• Education in a civil engineering technology program or equivalent experience;
• 3-7 years working experience with developing models and drawings;
• Demonstrated experience in civil design projects;
• Strong analytical and time management skills;
• Possess strong oral, written communication skills.

Considered Assets:

• Ability to prioritize deadlines, track progress of projects;
• Knowledge of stormwater management practices and low impact development strategies;
• Experience with consulting services working in a multi-disciplinary design environment.
