We are looking for our next superstar! Do you have what it takes to join our team of professionals and take on the challenging and exciting role of Catering and Events Coordinator?

The Catering & Events Specialist will coordinate the bookings for all conferences and events at the hotel as well as facilitate the work flow of room set-ups and break-downs while adhering to service standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with the Director of Sales & Marketing located in the Edmonton Support Office
• Daily review of upcoming bookings and set-ups and ensure all needs are met in a timely manner and all conference rooms are set and cleaned to specifications
• Maintain inventory and organization of soft drinks, condiments, paper supplies, kitchen glassware, china, utensils, etc.
• Monitor the cleanliness, maintenance and appearance of conference rooms
• Plan and discuss menu items for meetings and events with the Food & Beverage Manager
• Event planning and execution including budget management and staff coordination
• Receive and respond to inquiries from potential customers via email, telephone and/or in person
• Prepare, review and finalize quotes, customer contracts, invoices and payments for services
• Assist in the enhancement of the guest experience

Key Qualifications

• 2+ years experience in a catering and events planning position
• Post secondary degree or equivalent in a recognized hospitality program would be an asset
• Must have experience with the Caterease system
• Smart Serve or Pro Serve certification would be an asset
• Must be positive, upbeat and have a passion for hospitality and guest service
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
