RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Deliver consistently outstanding service and create memorable Moments.
  • Handle guest complaints promptly and professionally; requesting manager’s assistance when necessary.
  • Know and understand the products and services offered by the Restaurant & Hotel.
  • Maintain a high-level standard of cleanliness and sanitation within the Restaurant & Hotel.
  • Support all Team Members in operational tasks to ensure efficient service.

SPECIFIC DUTIES:

  • Actively work as a goodwill ambassador, positively representing the Tandoor Chop House.
  • Work with a sense of urgency to fulfill guest needs and requests.
  • Is well groomed and well maintained before, while, and at the end of their shift.
  • Provide barbacks/assistant servers direction to ensure proper operation of the bar and service (i.e. providing support positions with a written list of needed items for the shift).
  • Greet guests using 10/5 rule in a warm, friendly manner, and make them feel welcome.
  • Treat all customers in a friendly and respectful manner always.
  • Evaluate guests and proactively check’s I.D’s to verify legal drinking requirements.
  • Follow smart serve procedures and refrain from over-serving guests.
  • Mix and serve drinks using accurate measurements.
  • Suggestively upsell premium spirits and wines.
  • Accurately maintain wastage sheet on every shift and ensure spillage is punched into micros with comments.
  • Assist in rotating and dating fruit and juices.
  • Batch specialty cocktail syrups.
  • Assist Bar Managers appropriately in completing monthly inventory.
  • Enter all orders into the Micros system before producing products to customers.
  • Accurately posts charges to guests’ accounts or credit cards.
  • Assist in the maintenance and cleaning of glasswasher daily.
  • Rotate and date products to ensure freshness.
  • Assist and maintain Tandoor Chop House specialty bar program.
  • Complete opening & closing side duties as per assigned checklist.
  • Assist in moving furniture based on event setup requests.
  • Maintain a high level of bar appearance by cleaning all equipment, tools, and supplies and ensure equipment is in good working order; before, during, and after shift.
  • Accurately handling cash; maintaining floats, tips, and cash drops.
  • Actively clear dirty glassware and plates assisting barbacks/server assistants throughout shift.
  • Serving Tables in Restaurant and Lounge as needed
  • Serve drinks and food in a timely manner and ensure guest satisfaction once the order has been received.
  • Complete bar requisitions to order alcohol for the bar.
  • Use guests’ names when known, encourage them to return, and update them on daily specials and events.
  • Effectively communicate with management and team members in order to fulfill and address any guest issues or needs.
  • Follow all health and safety regulations.
  • Immediately report any health, safety, security or other hazards and concerns to management.
  • Adhere to all policies, procedures, and codes of conduct set forth by the Restaurant & Hotel.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

  • Previous experience bartending.
  • Ability to work as part of a cohesive team in a high-volume environment.
  • Detailed knowledge of Food and Beverage.
  • Smart Serve Certified.
  • Strong ability to service guests with personalized service and attention to detail.

EDUCATION:

Any combination of education and experience providing the required skill and knowledge for successful performance would be qualifying. Typical qualifications would be equivalent to:

  • High School Diploma
  • Previous experience in hospitality is preferred

KNOWLEDGE:

  • Previous Bartending experience is an asset.
  • Previous experience with Micros is preferred

SKILLS:

  • Must have excellent interpersonal skills and strong ability to work with others.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure.
  • Independent, self-motivated individual.
  • Ability to remain calm under stressful situations.
