First Truck Centre has an exciting opening for an Apprentice Heavy-Duty Technician at our Lloydminster location. Responsibilities:

The Journeyman Mechanic trouble shoots, diagnoses, repairs and maintains our customer’s OEM class 6,7,8 vehicles in our shop. This position works as part of a team with co-workers, service managers, and outside vendors to ensure professional quality detail and care for customers.

Skill Set:

• Mechanically inclined with a strong aptitude for diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance
• Customer service focused with strong communication skills to document customer transactions
• Must be a motivated self-starter able to work in a fast paced, detailed, and processed driven environment
• Ability to work in a physical capacity including heavy lifting and using tools throughout the shift
• Use of computerized scanning equipment, able to use digital technology/mechanical software, proficient with keyboarding, and comprehensive report writing

Requirements:

• AB Commercial Transport (Truck and Transport Mechanic)2nd year Apprentice, also open to 3rd and 4th years as well
• AB Class 5 driver’s license (Class 3 with air brakes or Class 1 an asset)
• Must have own tools (required tool list will be provided)
• Ability to pass pre-employment medical, drug & alcohol, and physical fitness testing
