Your Opportunity:Alberta Health Services has an exciting opportunity for an Area Manager, responsible for Allied Health services across the continuum of care in the communities of Wainwright, Provost, and Consort areas, as well as Long Term Care in Lloydminster. Reporting to the Director of Allied Health, you will play a key leadership role, responsible and accountable for providing direction, team leadership and organization of operational activities. You will work with inter-professional teams and operationalize processes to support best practices in the delivery of allied health services and evidenced based care to patients. You will help to ensure services are provided in a culturally safe environment and that all who are involved and treated with dignity and respect while fostering networks and partnerships in order to establish standards of practice and achieve goals and priorities within the Allied Health portfolio. You will be responsible for a large inter-professional team and support the implementation of program and organizational initiatives. This position is responsible and accountable in providing input to the direction, leadership, and organization of the activities of Allied Health in support of the vision, mission, and strategic direction of AHS within a defined geographical area. Key responsibilities include people and relationship management, operational planning, and management, change leadership and strategic planning, and safety and risk management.
