The Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME M1, M2 or equivalent) main responsivities and task are:

  • Maintain aircraft and components in an airworthy condition.
  • Ensure that the work performed on any aircraft or component is in compliance with recommended standards, Canadian Aviation Regulations, company policies and procedures;
  • Troubleshooting of mechanical systems.
  • Participate in flight operations.
  • Ability to interpret Blueprint and written technical data/instructions.
  • Participate in the development of the maintenance program.
  • Participate in the development of the maintenance training.
  • Participate in the manufacturing of equipment as required.
  • Maintain shop equipment.
  • Participate in an interdisciplinary integrated project team environment.
  • Ability to work on tasks that require good judgment and quick thinking.
  • Ability to take initiative.
  • Attention to details.
  • Ability to detect errors and/or omissions.
  • Carry out duties safely and effectively during deployed and national RPAS operations.

This role will be a combination of working remotely and onsite at our Sherbrooke office. We have a number of measures in place for onsite working - our top priority remains the health and safety of our colleagues.



  • Must possess a current Aircraft Maintenance Engineer license (AME M1, M2 or Equivalent), recognized by Transport Canada.
  • Minimum 2 years experience as an AME, or AME apprentice; preference given to those with aircraft experience.
  • Proficiency in French and English (Both written and verbal).
  • Posses a valid Driver’s license.
  • Using a computer and associated peripherals.
  • Functionality in a second language (French or English).
  • Military Aviation background an asset.
  • Experience in class II RPAS is an asset.
  • Physically able to deploy at sea or land for extended period.

Health & Safety

  • Dexterity needed to operate hand tools.
  • Sitting for extended periods of time.
  • Standing for extended periods of time.
  • Exposed to a variety of environmental conditions.
  • Ability to lift up to 70 lbs.

Must be able to obtain and maintain Canadian Security Clearance and a positive Controlled Goods Assessment. Eligibility to work in Canada either as a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident.
