The Role

STRIVE has partnered with an esteemed client and is recognized as one of the Top 100 Best Employers and they are looking to add an Administrative Assistant to the team at their Delta location.

The main duties of the Administrative Assistant include assisting in providing administrative support to the team, especially the Accounting team, and ensuring the efficiency of the office’s day-to-day operations. This position covers shift times fully on-site from 8:00 A.M. to 4:30 P.M. Monday to Friday. This role would be perfect for someone who enjoys variety in their role!!

Responsibilities

  • Greeting customers with enthusiasm and addressing their inquiries.
  • Ordering necessary office and warehouse supplies.
  • Assisting staff, managers, and sales reps as required.
  • Performing standard clerical duties such as faxing, copying, mailing, and liaising with other branches, as well as handling courier services and managing incoming/outgoing mail.
  • Assisting with Accounts Receivable: Processing cheque deposits and credit card payments via Moneris, recording payments in the system, and releasing orders upon payment.
  • Issuing Statements of Accounts and addressing AR queries.
  • Serving as the Accounts Payable point of contact for the Branch: Pre-approving freight and office orders, collating payables for managerial approval on a weekly basis.
  • Handling Customer Service tasks: Processing purchase orders, generating sales orders, providing updates to customers/sales representatives, and responding to phone and email inquiries, including inventory inquiries.
  • Generating end-of-day reports for all outbound shipments, ensuring accurate freight cost allocation to orders.
  • Collecting and managing expenses for office and select personnel.

Requirements

  • 1+ year experience working in an administrative or receptionist role.
  • Excellent experience and knowledge of basic AP/AR duties.
  • Post-secondary education is preferred.
  • Excellent working knowledge of MS Office - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Attention to detail, organized and analytical mindset.
  • Adaptable and coachable.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within an office environment and work independently when required.

Compensation

  • $48,000-$54,000 yearly
