As a member of RSM’s Tax Technology Consulting group you will be part of team that supports tax functions leverage technology to deliver on their strategy more efficiently and effectively. Tax technologist work with tax teams to understand their objectives and develop solutions to deliver them.

The following job duties would be typical of this role:

Technology

• Identify opportunities to improve tax processes through analytics and automation.
• Prepare analytic design and automation requirements for projects.
• Configure and optimize the use of software for tax processes.
• Provide business analysis for tax application development.
• Perform QA and testing for new processes, software configurations, and extract-transform-load (ETL) processes.
• Perform data analysis activities as required.
  

Basic Qualifications

• Working toward a bachelor’s degree in STEM, Accounting, Business or Finance.
• Experience using data analysis and visualization technologies such as SAS, Alteryx, Power Query, SQL, R, Python, PowerBI, Tableau, Qlik, or similar technologies.
  

Preferred Qualifications

• An interest in continuous learning and upskilling.
• Proactive, inquisitive and creative in approach to work.
• Enjoys problem solving and analysis.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Some understanding of basic accounting, auditing or tax concepts.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
