The Cummings Centre is a non-profit community centre committed to enhancing the quality of life of seniors and promotes positive attitudes about aging. Reporting to the IT Manager, candidate will join the Cummings Centre IT Department to provide technical support and training to staff users.


Duties

  • Act as front-line technical support resource within an online help-desk environment; responding to

  • technical questions, inquiries and issues reported by staff users
  • Collaborate with members of the technical team to respond to user issues, to provide solutions and

  • training to help improve the overall user experience and skillset
  • Deploy and maintain the full range of technical documentation

  • Develop and deliver training materials including technical presentations, live online and in-person

  • training, as well as on-demand training video resources
  • Identify gaps in documentation and training that require attention, and produce new and updated

  • materials to address the identified gaps
  • Provide support and training services within the scope of our ecosystem of software and data

  • management tools
  • Assist technical team in other related IT tasks


  • Education, Knowledge and Skills

  • College or bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent work experience

  • 3-5 years of software training and support experience

  • Advanced knowledge in Office 365 including MS Outlook, MS Teams, MS Word, MS Excel, MS

  • Power Point. Zoom and Webex
  • Experience with online instruction via web conferencing tools MS Teams, Zoom, Webex

  • Experience with writing and/or maintaining documentation such as user manuals, reference guides,

  • and online help articles
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English and French, with an ability to

  • develop well-constructed messaging and communications for a variety of people with different
    levels of technological proficiencies
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills

  • Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills

  • Able to work autonomously and as part of a team

  • Able to occasionally work outside of regular operating hours
