Due to recent promotions, a fast-paced manufacturer / distributor has an immediate opening for an Inventory Planner. The team in Brampton is quite close-knit, and collaboration with other departments is a big part of the role. Our client offers a good overall compensation package with excellent benefits, with opportunities for future growth.

The Inventory Planner monitors inventory levels and vendor performance, as well as issue purchase orders to ensure enough product is on hand to meet customer demand, without building up excess inventory. We need someone with strong computer skills and an analytical mindset who will look for ways to improve processes around purchasing and inventory planning. Excellent communication skills and a strong sense of urgency are requirements for this role!

REQUIREMENTS:

• 3-5 years of relevant buying experience, specifically in a retail or wholesale environment with a high SKU count.
• Strong computer skills including MS Excel. Needs to be able to pull reports from the ERP and perform analytics in Excel.
• Experience with ERP system. Preference for JD Edwards, but experience with SAP or MS Dynamics or similar would be great.
• Some post-secondary education required – CPIM, SCMP, or CCLP a definite asset.

COMPENSATION: $65,000 - $75,000 per year range, plus bonus, great benefits package, pension. Compensation will be commensurate with experience.
