The opportunity

The intern’s role will be to support the BI team with the elaboration of a proof of concept on the implementation of visualization (analytical) on mobile platforms (stages: preparation, development, testing, documentation, presentation of results). In addition to participating to improve the access request process.

• Develop the approach, carry out preparation activities and plan the proof of concept for the mobile phone
• Migrate certain pre-identified dashboards to the mobile platform and make necessary changes
• Presentation of the approach, results at mid-term and at the end of the proof of concept

The role

The Gildan Internship Program 2022 offers students the opportunity to participate in stimulating projects and gain valuable experience that will help them transition to the workplace. This year, our summer internship program will take place from May 16th to August 12th, 2022. The intern will gain exposure to Global IT infrastructure through the Business Intelligence team. The Intern will report directly to the Manager, IT Business Intelligence.

What you bring to the role

Knowledge & Expertise

• Bachelor of Computer Science, Analysis, Information Management
• Completed at least 2nd year in an undergraduate program
• Currently studying in a field related with the department in which the internship is offered
• Relevant course work/projects/experience in the field of interest, OR relevant leadership or community involvement experience.

Attributes

• Experience with visualization tool (Tableau, Power BI or other), an asset;
• Strong interest in analytics, BI or data science
• Detail-oriented
