About the Opportunity

BAR Engineering is currently seeking a motivatedIntermediate Piping Designer to join our Design & Drafting team in the Energy Division in Lloydminster, Albertaon a full-time basis.

As an Intermediate Piping Designer, you will assist with the completion of the design and drafting of drawing packages. These designs will have to conform to project specifications, design parameters, industry practices, stress information, vendor data, and input from the Project Engineers.

More specifically, your duties and responsibilities will include:

• Developing and preparing technical drawings from preliminary concepts and rough sketches
• Preparing and developing piping and plant layout design by utilizing 2D and 3D software
• Assisting senior staff with preparing and developing drawing packages

More About You

To qualify for this role, you will need 4 to 10 years of experience working as a Piping Designer.In addition, you will need a diploma in Engineering Technology, which is recognized byASET/SASTT.

The following skills and experience are also essential:

• Experience working with AutoCAD, CADWorx Plant, AutoPLANT, and Navisworks
• Knowledge of engineering design and drafting and the ability to conceptualize design details
• A valid driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract

You have the ability to work independently and handle tight deadlines. You have effective verbal and written communication skills and are able to work efficiently and cooperatively with colleagues.
